Meet Our Music Team
VIOLIN
Joshua Dean, MMus. Ed., University of British Columbia. Violinist, Conductor, String Instruments Expert
Joshua is a RCM award-winning teacher, violinist, conductor, and expert in string instruments. He has studied violin teaching methods for over a decade and was appointed as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of British Columbia. Joshua has participated in classes at the Juilliard School and collaborated with professors at New York University and Harvard University. He has studied with great violinists who are pupils of legendary artists such as Jascha Heifetz, Nathan Milstein, Yehudi Menuhin, and Henryk Szeryng. Many of his violin students have achieved awards at international competitions, highest marks at RCM examinations, and top prizes at provincial music festivals. Currently, he maintains a busy schedule performing, teaching, consulting, and appraising musical instruments. Joshua's teaching focuses on building a proper foundation, patience, and consistent progression. He often provides free violin lessons to students in different school districts and children in need.
Joshua holds a master's degree in music from the University of British Columbia. During his free time, he enjoys reading great books, exercising in the gym, and making healthy meals.
PIANO
Angelina, MMus., University of Indiana, Bloomington. BMus., University of British Columbia
Angelina is a world-class pianist who has won several national and international piano competitions. She is an excellent piano teacher for children and adults. Her teaching methods are fun and encouraging. Her piano students have achieved high RCM marks with distinction.
CELLO
Judy, MMus., University British Columbia
Judy is a fun and energetic teacher who enjoys teaching both young children and adults. She will be strict if you don't practice!
